Turning to God
Every week our pastor writes a short letter to the church with words of encouragement. I especially liked whathe wrote this week.
“Many of us may be in the midst of the greatest testing of our lives. May I encourage all of God’s people to turn to Him?
- Be still (Psalm 46:10)
- Turn to the Lord (Psalm 105:4)
- Pray (Jeremiah 33:3; I Thessalonians 5:17)
- Trust Him (Proverbs 3:5-6)
- Be faithful to God’s house (Psalm 73:17; Hebrews 10:25)
- Help somebody on the pathway of life (Phillipians 2:4)
- Learn to rejoice (Philippians 4:4)
- Evaluate your own life. Cast out anything that is not godly and holy.
- Think properly (Isaiah 26:3; Philippians 4:8)
- Claim the promises of God (Philippians 4:19)
- Never quit (Phlippians 3:14)
- Read the Bible (Psalm 119; Joshua 1:8)”
