瘋狂夫妻

最近打算換掉家裡有高齡二十年的熱水器,本來想要換成tankless,可以得到退稅還增加家裡空間的利用,不過經過詢問tankless熱水器加上人工的價錢實在太貴(是傳統的三倍)。最後還是妥協為傳統式的,經過比價詢問,給有執照的裝得要五百,給一般的水電工大概要三百。老公以前在阿根廷自己有裝過熱水器,以傳統式的裝法來說應該不難,小氣夫妻覺得給人賺實在太不划算,所以決定自己做。

瘋狂夫妻這禮拜初就預定卡車跟租推車,老公還抱病上工,搞了一整天。我除了忙著煮飯餵食,還得下場當捆工。雖然有遇到一點小問題,有經驗的老公還是輕鬆解決。剛剛終於完工,熱水也有了,只能說我們真是瘋狂。

PS.在此奉勸要把熱水器拿去鐵工廠換錢的朋友,千萬別做這種傻事,那麼重的熱水器,因為材質不值錢,最後只當了三塊錢,還好工廠離我家很近,不然真不划算。不過知道一個好消息,鍋子跟回收的鋁罐很值錢,以我燒壞鍋子的速度,應該可以拿回不少錢,哈哈哈!

    下次把燒焦的鍋子不要丟掉,等多點拿去換錢^^。

    Be careful when you install a water heater without a licensed professional + without a permit (yes you do need a permit from the city). Especially if your water heater is gas and not electric. If anything wrong happens due to installation or earthquake, the insurance company will not pay for damages since it was installed without a license and a permit. If there is a gas leak, you will be liable in case of fire or explosion.

    Thank you Passer By for your advice. Yes, a permit is required from the city. However, you don’t need to be a licensed contractor to perform the job. As long as everything is up to code and the inspection passes, the city doesn’t care who did the work. Here’s the link for the city of Santa Clara.
